The Density Comparator offers a proven, accurate and reliable method for determining the density of glass and related materials for routine control of composition. This compact table-top device utilizes the Sink-Float approach to determine the density of a sample in accordance with ASTM Standard Method C729.
With the Density Comparator, up to 6 samples can be tested simultaneously. A circulating water bath with automatic and manual heating controls, as well as a cooling coil for rapid system cooling provides the means for precise temperature control of samples and medium according to test requirements.
The Finish Coating Measurement System (FCMS) is a precision testing instrument designed to quickly and accurately identify the presence and concentration of tin coating on the finish region of a glass container. The FCMS incorporates a low profile head configuration that is specifically suited for performing measurements within the confines of a container’s finish region. Its stable test platform, clamping system and rotary table permit secure positioning for accurate and highly repeatable finish region measurements. This device is configured with a limited, very high precision measurement range, offering high sensitivity, specifically to detect and measure very small amounts of coating in the finish region.

The Hot End Coating Measurement System (HECMS) is an automated, bench-top test instrument that is designed to aid glass container manufacturers in monitoring and managing the amount of tin hot end coatings applied to bottles during the manufacturing process. The HECMS utilizes reflective light technology to accurately measure the amount of coatings applied to the body of a bottle or container. The design of the HECMS is optimized for measuring coating thickness up to 100 CTU. This device features an automatic index mode that can be preprogrammed to measure and document multiple locations over the sidewall, making it possible for operators to identify variation in coating thickness and evaluate the effectiveness of coating application. This device is an essential tool for coating hood setup, diagnosing production problems and managing the application of costly coating materials.
The Hot Wire Cutter offers an easy-to-use and cost-effective method for cutting plastic containers for section weight analysis. Using heated wires, the Hot Wire Cutter quickly slices through bottles, yielding a clean cut without deformation of the sections
The Impact Tester provides the means to apply a repeatable impact force to a defined area of a container for the measurement of impact resistance. It can be used with glass and other container types to evaluate impact problems associated with bottle design and/or production variations.
The OmniLab® system incorporates two powerful Agr sampling and measurement devices, the Dimensional Sampling Gauge and the Sampling Pressure Tester, into one totally integrated testing station that can communicate with plant wide process control systems. The OmniLab system can be configured to operate as a stand alone testing station, where operators can load the station with up to 48 containers for hands-free testing, or interconnected with the production system to receive bottles automatically from upstream selection devices.
